Our brand derives its name, Kanya (Sanskrit for ‘girl’) from our passion to promote the well-being of girls living in underprivileged parts of the world. Before launching Kanya, our founder, Vernika, worked in the not-for-profit sector with grassroots organizations focused on education, menstrual hygiene and emotional well-being of girls in rural India.
